A Study on Effect of Emotional Intelligence Towards Job Satisfaction Among Nurses Working in and Around Coimbatore

Abstract :

The main aim was to know about the job satisfaction level of nurses through their emotional intelligence. It is a kind of descriptive research. Simple random sampling technique was adopted with the sample hailing from Coimbatore; it is one of the largest commercial/metropolitan cities in south India. A well–structured questionnaire was framed to collect the data. Against the targeted sample of 450 questionnaires, 300 questionnaires have been collected and analyzed Many studies have demonstrated an unusually large impact on the job satisfaction on the motivation of workers, while the level of motivation has an impact on productivity, and hence also on performance of job. Results show a statistically significant and positive correlation between emotional intelligence and job satisfaction appropriate suggestions are given to improve their emotional intelligence and to increase the job satisfaction level.
