Abstract :
Ocular infestation by live Gnathostoma spinigerum is a rare occurrence in humans. Most of the published reports are from South–East Asia. We report a rare case of ocular gnathostomosis of right eye of a 45–year–old male hailing from Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu. Slit lamp examination revealed a live, actively motile worm in the superior palpeal conjunctiva, which was successfully removed. Its identity was confirmed by microscopy
