Break Even Analysis and Decision Tree Analysis of Pelican Rotoflex Pvt. Ltd.

Abstract :
The Financial manger of Pelican Rotoflex Pvt. Ltd. is considering setting up a new anch near Bangalore based on Pelican previous experience. The success parameters for any project are in time completion, within a specific budget and with Requisite performance means technical requirement. The main barriers in achieving these are changes that occur in the project environment. Here we assume that the manager can list the events and estimate their probabilities. The manager has less information than with decision making under certainty but more information than with decision making under uncertainty. For this intermediate situation, the expected value decision rule is widely used. The expected value for an alternative is found by weighting each payoff with its associated probability. The alternative with the best expected value (highest for profits and lowest for costs) is chosen.
