Physically Challenged : Rehabilitation and Social Welfare Schemes

Abstract :

Disabled people are classified into four types, Physically disabled, Visually Impaired, Deaf and Dumb and Mentally Retarded. Of which, physically disabled are deprived sections of the society, who are living in poor families and need rehabilitation. To rehabilitate, many of the schemes are formed by the Central and State Government. The paper described the social welfare schemes formed for the welfare of the physically disabled people at the national level.
