Competitiveness of Cotton Export of India �A Shift Share Analysis

Abstract :

Present study analyses the growth trends and competitiveness of India’s cotton export during the reform era. Using Shift share analysis for time series data collected from various secondary sources from 1993-94 to 2011-12 the study explores the factors responsible for the competitiveness and reasons for lack of competitiveness the cotton export from India.
