Incidence of Life Stages of Strongylid Nematodes in the Giant African Snail, Achatina Fulica (Bowdich) in Bangalore Region

Abstract :

Samples collected from snail population occurring in Bangalore showed the presence of Parasite stages of Strongylid worms. The Parasite stages detected by concentration method include eggs and larvae of Strongylid worm species. The present observations have been recorded for the first time in the region and needs to be followed by clinical studies undertaken from a public health perspective
