Birth Orders, Baby Farms, and Surrogate Motherhood– A Womb for Rent

Abstract :

Medical advancements in surrogacy and legal standings have ought the traditional concept of motherhood under debate. Apart from legal standings, there are social, moral and ethical issues which cannot be thrown away. The aim of this article is to establish whether there is anything intrinsically immoral about surrogacy arrangements. Though medical science is advancing rapidly and awareness towards surrogacy is growing fast among the people, it is believed that some regulation is necessary in the form of licensing and authoritative inspection for the benefit of society.
