Role of Media in protection of Human Rights (An analytical study of few Newspaper)

Abstract :

<p>&lt;p&gt;&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;&amp;amp;lt;p&amp;amp;gt;&amp;amp;amp;nbsp;Rights, freedom and privileges are such a basic part of human Nature these cannot be taken away. Every person by&amp;amp;amp;nbsp;&amp;amp;lt;/p&amp;amp;gt; &amp;amp;lt;div&amp;amp;gt;virtue of his humanity is entitled to certain natural rights is a recurring theme throughout the history of mankind.&amp;amp;lt;/div&amp;amp;gt; &amp;amp;lt;div&amp;amp;gt;Main functions of Mass Media are to inform, educate andentertain the readers, listeners and viewers. Mass Media canplay a vital role in educating&amp;amp;amp;nbsp;&amp;amp;lt;/div&amp;amp;gt; &amp;amp;lt;div&amp;amp;gt;its readers on human rights subjectby providing news stories and articles on violations, concerneddetails, importance, etc. in their medium&amp;amp;amp;nbsp;&amp;amp;lt;/div&amp;amp;gt; &amp;amp;lt;div&amp;amp;gt;and focus attention on people andareas in need of the protection of human rights and pursue their case till theyachieve them. Gradually, this&amp;amp;amp;nbsp;&amp;amp;lt;/div&amp;amp;gt; &amp;amp;lt;div&amp;amp;gt;approach would develop as awareness and they would start behaving in the society with more maturity and with respect forothers.&amp;amp;lt;/div&amp;amp;gt; &amp;amp;lt;div&amp;amp;gt;Media can also give publicity to the individuals and organisations, which are engaged in securing human rights. This will encourage as well as&amp;amp;amp;nbsp;&amp;amp;lt;/div&amp;amp;gt; &amp;amp;lt;div&amp;amp;gt;motivateothers to do the similar work.&amp;amp;lt;/div&amp;amp;gt; &amp;amp;lt;div&amp;amp;gt;This paper attempt to present the role of Media (Newspaper) in protecting and promoting human rights in the society&amp;amp;lt;/div&amp;amp;gt;&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;&lt;/p&gt;</p>
