Abstract :

<span style="font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: "Times New Roman", serif;">People have always been inspired by nature -- and engineers are no exception! The idea is that, during its 3.8 billion years of research and development, nature has evolved highly efficient systems and processes that can inform solutions to many of the waste, resource efficiency and management problems that we now grapple with today.<span style="font-size: 16.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:"MyriadMM-It_400_300_",sans-serif; mso-bidi-font-family:MyriadMM-It_400_300_;color:#666666"> <span style="font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: "Times New Roman", serif;">Biomimicry<span style="font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: "Times New Roman", serif;">, describes a new science that studies nature’s best ideas and then imitates these designs and processes to provide innovative and sustainable solutions for industry and research development.

<span style="font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: "Times New Roman", serif;"> The purpose of this paper is to introduce and create interest in the ideology of biomimicry that refers to sustainability by looking to Nature for solutions.

<span style="font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: "Times New Roman", serif;">< clear="all" style="page-eak-before:auto;mso-eak-type:section-eak" />

<span style="font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: "Times New Roman", serif;">

<span style="font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: "Times New Roman", serif;">< clear="all" style="page-eak-before:always;mso-eak-type:section-eak" />
