GLOBALISATION- A PHENOMENON REVOLUTIONISING THE WORLD

Abstract :

<p>&nbsp;<span style="font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;, serif; font-size: 12pt;">The term &lsquo;Globalisation&rsquo; is a very recent phenomenon, not only to the Indian economy, but to the world. It marks the emergence of its meaning in the world only in the 1970s, with the intersection of the four inter-related sets of &lsquo;communities of practice&rsquo;.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left:.5in;line-height:200%"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:200%;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif">Thus, in simpler terms, we can define globalisation as the process of movement of Men, Money and Material from one country to another, which leads to the integration of the economies of the associated countries. Further, environmental issues like cross boundary water, air pollution, over-fishing in the oceans and global warming are also linkedwith globalisation.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
