PREVENTION AND CONTROL OF ATMOSPHERIC POLLUTION TO TAJ MAHAL

Abstract :

<p>&nbsp;<i style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size:12.0pt;&#10;line-height:150%;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif">In India, Taj Mahal is one of the world-famous monument and also declared as world Heritage site. Taj Mahal is not only an attraction to Indian tourists, but also extreme attraction to global tourist as well. Therefore, Taj Mahal generates huge amount of foreign exchange every year in India. The Taj Mahal was exposed to extreme atmospheric pollution in the city of Agra, because of functioning of various large and small scale industries. The honourable Supreme Court efficiently addressed this environmental pollution case and delivered excellent environmental Justice while issuing number of innovative directions to the governmental agencies. The present article aims to make an overview of the apex court&rsquo;s judgement in the light of prevention and control of atmospheric pollution of Taj Mahal.</span></i></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top:0in;margin-right:26.05pt;margin-bottom:&#10;8.0pt;margin-left:28.35pt;text-align:justify;line-height:150%"><i><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size:12.0pt;&#10;line-height:150%;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif"><o:p></o:p></span></i></p>
