A STUDY OF EMPLOYEES’ SATISFACTION TOWARDS HEALTH AND SAFETY MEASURES IN ARAVIND EYE HOSPITAL

Abstract :

<p>&nbsp;<span style="font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;, serif; font-size: 12pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">Hospital employees have to work constantly under conditions of great stress. It is therefore the responsibility of the hospital authorities to provide ventilation, light, air, etc. so as to ensure their health and safety. In this respect, statutory provisions under the Factories Act, 1948, govern factories. Some of the provisions are applicable in hospital setup and not all. There is a need for the government to make necessary provisions in this respect of pending such legislation for hospitals; there is an urgent need on the part of hospital authorities to be more generous and enlightened in this respect.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;text-indent:.5in"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
