Abstract :

The development programmes are largely criticized for ignoring gender roles and the impact it has on women. This paper discusses about the evolution of gender planning in development process, chiefly focusing on socio- economic planning, thus taking into consideration women and men. The paper is discusses both on major approaches, to the study Women Empowerment and Perspectives of Women within development.
