Intra Aortic Balloon Pump(IABP) is now the most commonly used form of circulatory assist in cardiac surgery. We conducted a retrospective study of all the patients who underwent IABP insertion during and after surgery during the last 18 months in our institution and analysed the various factors predicting the need for IABP and affecting the outcome following IABP
