Abstract :

<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 12pt;">The advent of computer has been boon to students, lawyers, business, doctors, teachers....and criminals. The Internet is fast becoming a way of life for millions of people. However, it is also being transformed into a haven for criminals. In fact, the growth of crime on Internet is directly proportional to the growth of Internet itself, and so is the variety of crimes being committed or attempted. Evil minded persons are taking benefit out of this technological progress by committing crimes, which are popularly known as Cybercrimes. Considering the nature of cyber criminality the deterrence is not only answer to cybercrime. It is being realised that a multipronged strategy has to be adopted to defend the internet community against cybercrime.

<span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:115%; font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">
