Abstract :
<p> <span style="text-align: justify; font-size: 12pt; line-height: 200%; font-family: "Times New Roman", serif;">The present study was conducted to evaluate the acute toxicity of catechol to <i>Clarias batrachus</i> along with its effects on haematological, biochemical and reproductive changes of fish. 96h median lethal concentration (LC50) of catechol along with its 95% confidence limits was </span><span style="text-align: justify; font-size: 12pt; line-height: 200%; font-family: "Times New Roman", serif;">30.74 (30.02-31.56) </span><span style="text-align: justify; font-size: 12pt; line-height: 200%; font-family: "Times New Roman", serif;">mg/l.
