ANALOGUES OF 6,8-DIBROMOQUINAZOLIN-4(3H) ONES: POTENTIAL ANTIMICROBIAL AGENTS IN VITRO

Abstract :

<p>&nbsp;<span style="text-align: justify; vertical-align: baseline;">A new series of some analogues of 6,8-diomoquinazolin-4(3<i>H</i>)-ones <b>6</b></span><b style="text-align: justify;"><sub>1-12</sub></b><span style="text-align: justify; vertical-align: baseline;"> have been synthesized by the cyclisation of acrylamide <b>5</b></span><b style="text-align: justify;"><sub>1-12</sub></b><b style="text-align: justify;"><span style="vertical-align:&#10;baseline"> </span></b><span style="text-align: justify; vertical-align: baseline;">with<b> </b>hydrazine hydrate. The overall reaction was based catalysed conventional multistep process. The title compounds have been characterized by spectral data IR, </span><span style="text-align: justify;">1</span><span style="text-align: justify; vertical-align: baseline;">H NMR, </span><span style="text-align: justify;">13</span><span style="text-align: justify; vertical-align: baseline;">C NMR and elemental analysis.
