Prospective analysis of outcomes of operated subaxial cervical spine injuries

Abstract :

<p>&nbsp;Introduction: Hemorrhoids are one of the most common ailments that affect mankind. About 50% of the American populations are affected by the symptomatic hemorrhoids during their life time and about 80% of the Indian populations are affected by hemorrhoids during the period of 35 years to 60 years. Aim: To compare the therapeutic effect of AloeVera Gel with White Soft Paraffin in patients suffering from Hemorrhoids. Methods: The total treatment period per patient was 8 week out of which 4 weeks for study period &amp; 4 weeks for follow up. 60 study patients were randomly divided into 2 groups. Group A consists of 30 control patients who were taken Product A containing Soft Paraffin &amp; Group B consists of 30 Test patients who were taken product B containing AloeVera Gel. &nbsp; Results: Patients applied Aloevera gel topically and showed marked reduction in symptoms like Pain and Itching in the 1st week. Bleeding was arrested significantly between 2nd and 3rd week. All the patients showed improvement in their bowel habits and straining at stool was reduced significantly. Between the 3rd and 4th week there was mild regression of the size of hemorrhoids which is also significant. Conclusion: Topical Aloevera Gel has proved to be effective in producing symptomatic relief and disease modifying action in hemorrhoids</p>
