Rahul Kumar Singh, Chhewang Topgia, Abhishek Pandey
Abstract :

The purpose of this paper is to explore the associations between emotional intelligence (EI) and life satisfaction (LS) mediated by gender. The real learning lies in the fact that the data suggests that males have higher values of all the three parameters i.e. clarity, mood repair and attention than females which has given interesting comparisons. Data was collected from 280 college students through two different structured and well tested surveys. Findings – The result of this survey is in support for the positive association between life satisfaction and emotional intelligence. Gender is used as a moderating variable. Originality/value – The present study contributes to a growing body of literature and research seeking to determine the role of life satisfaction and emotional intelligence.
