INCIDENCE OF PRIMARY OPEN ANGLE GLAUCOMA vs PRIMARY ANGLE CLOSURE GLAUCOMA AT TERTIARY HEALTH CARE CENTRES

Detailed history with complete ophthalmological examination including TLE, SLE, Fundus examination, IOP measurement, OCT, Perimetry, Undilated Gonioscopy was done.<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif""><o:p> </o:p></span></b></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">RESULTS<o:p></o:p></span></b></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"">342(50.29%)<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>males and 338(49.71%) <span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>females. Of<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>these 139(25.69%)<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>presented as<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>PACG with 99(71.22%)<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>requiring urgent PI and 39(28.05%)<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>of<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>them have severe glaucomatous changes with average IOP 38.3mmHg,<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>and 541(74.31%) as<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>POAG with no urgent intervention and<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>73(13.49%)<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>had severe glaucomatous changes with average IOP 37.5mmHg.<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family: "Times New Roman","serif""><o:p> </o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family: "Times New Roman","serif""><o:p> </o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">CONCLUSION<o:p></o:p></span></b></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"">Incidence of POAG is more than<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>PACG , with PACG presented with more severity<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal"><o:p></o:p></b></span></p>
