Abstract :
<p> Oral diseases and conditions have a oad impact on health and well being of an individual. Aim of this study was ‘To</p> <div>evaluate the level of serum lactate dehydrogenase as a potential biomarker for the diagnosis of oral cancer and oral</div> <div>submucous osis.’ The present study include150 subjects of either sex among them:- Group a- 50 healthy control without any clinical</div> <div>symptoms or disease, Group b- 50 Oral submucous osis patients and Group c- 50 Oral squamous cell carcinoma patients. Highly</div> <div>signicant increase serum lactate dehydrogenase enzyme leve was found in Oral submucous osis and oral squamous cell carcinoma as</div> <div>compared to healthy control. Serum LDH level of OSMF patients shows signicant difference with serum LDH level of OSCC Patients. Mean</div> <div>Serum LDH level is higher in OSCC patients.</div>
