SCREENING OF CERVICAL LESIONS IN VINDHYA REGION : A 3 MONTH RETROSPECTIVE STUDY

Abstract :

<p>&nbsp;<b style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;, serif;">Aim: To estimate the prevalence of cervical lesion in Vindhya Region by the help of pap smear test. Material and Method:&nbsp; Cervical/Vaginal exfoliativesmears were stained by Pap stain and Giemsa Stain and microscopy were done. Smears were categorized according to The Bethesda System 2001. Result: Total 200 smears were examined with 97.5% satisfactory smear , having maximum cases of 25-35yrs age group. Of the total cases studied, NILM far exceeds the ECA. Total 03 cases of Squamous cell Carcinoma detected during our threemonth retrospective study.</span></b>< /> <b><span style="font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;, serif;">< clear="all" style="page-eak-before:always;mso-eak-type:section-eak" /> </span></b></p>
