Relationship between polytherapy due to memory impairment in childhood epilepsy patients

Abstract :

Characteristics and </span><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";mso-ansi-language: EN-GB">therapy</span><span lang="IN" style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif""> of epilepsy were obtained from parents interviewed</span><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";mso-ansi-language: EN-GB"> and medical records</span><span lang="IN" style="font-size:12.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">. Epilepsy were diagnosed from clinical symptoms and electroencephalogram test. Memory test was performed with multiple subtests of Wechsler Intellegence Scale for Children-IV. <o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-align: justify;line-height:normal"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal"><span lang="IN" style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Results:</span></b><span lang="IN" style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">There </span><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"; mso-ansi-language:EN-GB">were6</span><span lang="IN" style="font-size:12.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman","serif""> children (</span><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";mso-ansi-language: EN-GB">85.7</span><span lang="IN" style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">%)</span><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"; mso-ansi-language:EN-GB"> from 7 children with polytherapy</span><span lang="IN" style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">who had memory impairment, where all of them have interference at the examination of concentration subtest.
