It is known to be associated with various metabolic abnormalities, but not much information is known regarding association between the metabolic disease and the severity of fatty liver .

<span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">Aims : <span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">To study the clinical profile of patients of NAFLD as diagnosed by ultrasonography and to study the correlation between the non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and metabolic syndrome along with its individual components.

<span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size:12.0pt; font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">Material and Methods : <span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">The study was an observational study of patients diagnosed as NAFLD, attending OPD and indoor patients of the Department of Medicine, <span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size:14.0pt;mso-ascii-font-family: Calii;mso-ascii-theme-font:minor-latin;mso-fareast-font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-hansi-font-family:Calii;mso-hansi-theme-font:minor-latin;mso-bidi-font-family: Calii;mso-bidi-theme-font:minor-latin">, SREE BALAJI MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL , CHENNAI<span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">.
