Study of demographic and clinical profile in patients presenting with pelvic organ prolapse in mahakaushal area

Abstract :
<p> <b style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; line-height: 200%; font-family: "Times New Roman", serif;">Background</span></b><span style="text-align: justify; font-size: 10pt; line-height: 200%; font-family: "Times New Roman", serif;">: Pelvic organ prolapse (POP) is one of the most common gynaecological problem encountered worldwide. </span><span style="text-align: justify; font-size: 10pt; line-height: 200%; font-family: "Times New Roman", serif;">POP is a bulge or protrusion of pelvic organs and their associated vaginal segments into or through the vagina. It is a common in older women. Pelvic organ prolapsed, results from attenuation of the supportive structures.</span></p> <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-add-space:auto;text-align:justify;text-justify:inter-ideograph;line-height: 200%"><b><span style="font-size: 10pt; line-height: 200%; font-family: "Times New Roman", serif;">Methods:</span></b><span style="font-size: 10pt; line-height: 200%; font-family: "Times New Roman", serif;"> </span><span style="font-size:10.0pt; line-height:200%;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">A total number of 125 patients were registered in Gynae OPD fulfilling inclusion criteria evaluated for risk factors, clinical presentation, other demographic factors like age, weight. Detailed history was obtained and examination done.
