A Study of Errors Committed by the Viii Class Students in Geometrical Concepts

Abstract :

Mathematics is one subject which has extensive application in our day to day life situations. A fundamental knowledge of basic mathematical concept is valuable even for a layman. For an intellectual understanding of contemporary literature and to lead a successful life in society, knowledge of mathematical language, symbols and their manipulations are essential. Knowledge of elementary mathematical concepts is very essential for any person to lead a fruitful life in the society. The world of to day which learn more and more heavily on science and technology, demands more and more mathematical knowledge. It has been said that mathematics is the only anch of learning in which theories of two thousand years old are still valid. Mathematics has been defined as the science of quality, measurement and special relations. It is a systematized, organized and exact anch of science. Bertrand Russell (1901) defined mathematics as “The subject in which we never know what we are talking about, nor whether what we are saying is true”, in fundamentally significant.
