Strengthening of Teacher Training Programmes by Means of Psychological Competence in Innovative Practices

Abstract :

Psychology gives education the theory of individual differences that every child has different mental ability and learns with different pace. In this research paper, authors explore the relevance of Psychological competence in teacher education programs, noting how psychological proficiency contributes to the preparation of teachers and enhance the quality of programmes. It is very essential for a teacher to teach his students according to their interest, aptitude, attitude and mental abilities. Educational psychological competence helps the teacher to teach why, where and how? Teachers need to be trained to create situations and be imaginative to reflect on that situation by making students aware of quality and highlighting its need. In the given context there is a pressing need for the psychological development of Aspirant–Teachers by the innovative practices in Teacher–Training Programmes. Would the role of psychology in maintaining Quality in teacher education is good? How do educators develop psychological competence oriented education programs?
