Abstract :

The experimental data of ultrasonic velocity, density, viscosity have been measured for ternary liquid mixtures containing o-xylene and 1-propanol in n-hexane as solvent at 303K, 308K and 313K. The acoustic parameters like adiabatic compressibility, internal pressure, acoustic impedance, formation constant values, etc.have beencomputed using the above experimental data. The variation in ultrasonic velocity and other acoustical parameters are mainly due to the interactions between the donor and acceptor molecules. The stability of the complexes formed were also studied.
