Evaluation of serum electrolytes in preeclamptic pregnant women: A Hospital Based Study

Abstract :

<p>&nbsp;<span style="font-family: Andalus, serif; font-size: 14pt; text-align: justify;">Preeclampsia is the most common medical complication of pregnancy. It is also known as pregnancy-induced hypertension or toxemia and is one of the leading causes of maternal and perinatal mortality throughout the world. </span><span style="font-family: Andalus, serif; font-size: 14pt; text-align: justify;">My aim was to evaluation of serum electrolytes (Na</span><sup style="font-family: Andalus, serif; text-align: justify;">+</sup><span style="font-family: Andalus, serif; font-size: 14pt; text-align: justify;"> &amp; K</span><sup style="font-family: Andalus, serif; text-align: justify;">+</sup><span style="font-family: Andalus, serif; font-size: 14pt; text-align: justify;">) in between cases and controls. </span><span style="font-family: Andalus, serif; font-size: 14pt; text-align: justify;">The serum Sodium and potassium levels were within reference range for both the groups. There was not much difference between mean values of both the groups.
