INDUCED BREEDING OF INDIAN MAJOR CARPS IN INDIA: AN OVERVIEW

Abstract :

Carp culture is common in India. Aquaculture in Rajasthan is a fast developing income generating activity, providing a quality and low cost protein diet to the people. Induced eeding is the most significant advancements in the field of aquaculture to eed in captive condition. </span><span style="font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;, serif; font-size: 12pt; text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</span><span style="font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;, serif; font-size: 12pt; text-align: justify;">For the preparation of carp pituitary extract the glands are removed carefully from freshly killed donor fish. For best result the donor fish should be fully ripe and mature.
