Abstract :

<p>&nbsp;<span style="font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;, serif; font-size: 12pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">The different hydrazone derivatives are obtained by condensation of 2-hydroxy benzohydrazide with various aldehydes such as anisaldehyde, benzaldehyde, p-nitro- benzaldehyde, &alpha;-naphthaldehyde and p-methylbenzaldehyde. The hydrazone derivatives have been characterized by elemental analysis, UV, IR, </span>1<span style="font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;, serif; font-size: 12pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;">H-NMR spectral studies. The physicochemical analysis data is in support of the structures of the compounds. The present hydrazone derivatives can acts as chelating ligands with metal ions.&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;text-justify:inter-ideograph;&#10;text-indent:.5in"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:&#10;&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif"><b><o:p></o:p></b></span></p>
