Effective Listening: A very important skill to acquire in today�s high–speed world

Abstract :

Listening is a very significant part of communication process. Effective listening enhances the communication quality. It helps build relationships, solve problems, ensure understanding, resolve conflicts, and improve accuracy. Effective listening is an art that can be mastered with practice. Since the effectiveness of communications depends hugely on good listening, it is high time for all to pay attention and developing these skills. The present paper of mine discusses the importance of listening in life, different types of listening, some barriers to listening and tips to improve listening skills.
